General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of ALBIJOU GmbH 



These general terms and conditions govern the legal relationship between you and ALBIJOU GmbH (Holiday living in charming village homes with full concierge services). The reservation or order confirmation, which is sent to you by e-mail or post, serves as the basis.


Option dates are binding for both parties. After the expiration of the option period the ALBIJOU GmbH can automatically dispose of the reserved apartments / houses unless the customer has sent a written order confirmation. The confirmation must be in the hands of the ALBIJOU GmbH on the day of the option date.

1.3. FEES

Fees are in CHF and include the legal value added tax. Any increase in value added tax after conclusion of the contract shall be borne by the customer. The fees posted on the homepage are valid and will be confirmed to the customer in the order confirmation. 


Upon completion of a booking, 40% of the invoice amount must be paid as a deposit.  The remainder is due 30 days before the start of the rental period. For short-term bookings (less than 30 days) the full invoice amount is due upon conclusion of the contract.  


The tourism tax of CHF 6.- for adults and CHF 3.- for children is not included in the rental fee and will be listed separately on the invoice. The amount of the tourism tax is determined by the municipality.



We ask you to inform us as early as possible and in writing of any significant changes to your reservation. If a reservation is completely cancelled without any responsibility on our part (damage to accommodation) the following cancellation fee is due:

A cancellation made at least 3 months before the agreed arrival date is free of charge.

For cancellations made at least 2 months before the agreed arrival date a fee of CHF 50.- will be charged 

until 30 days before arrival 20% of the invoice amount

29 to 15 days before arrival 50% of the invoice amount

less than 14 days before arrival 100% of the invoice amount

If a credit card number was entered incorrectly during the online booking process, we consider the booking as not guaranteed.


The same conditions apply as under point 2.1.



3.1.1. Guest, organizer

For damages to or loss of furnishings or inventory occurring during a stay or an event, the guest or organizer is liable—no proof of culpability on the part of ALBIJOU GmbH required. ALBIJOU GmbH is not liable for theft and damage of materials brought along by third parties; sufficient insurance is the sole responsibility of the organizer in any case.


3.2.1. Number of participants

The organizer must report the definitive number of participants to ALBIJOU GmbH at least 24 hours before the start of the event. If the number of participants exceeds the estimate the invoice will be based on the the actual number of participants.

3.2.2. Additional costs for setting up and dismantling the seminar infrastructure

Die ALBIJOU GmbH shall furnish the seminar rooms as agreed and confirmed in writing. The organizer will be charged for extra costs incurred during set-up or dismantling. The organizer can dispose of cardboard, paper and excess conference materials on the premises after the event.

3.2.3. Third party services

If ALBIJOU GmbH procures technical or other equipment from third parties for the organizer, ALBIJOU GmbH acts in the name and for the account of the organizer. The organizer is liable for the careful handling and proper return of such equipment and shields ALBIJOU GmbH from all third party claims.

3.2.4. Media advertisement

Media advertisements referring to events staged in the context of Holiday living in charming village homes with full concierge services must be approved in writing by ALBIJOU GmbH prior to publication. If publication occurs without prior consent and to the detriment of ALBIJOU GmbH's interests, ALBIJOU GmbH has the right to cancel the event subject to possible claims for remuneration and damages.

3.3. THEFT

ALBIJOU GmbH is not liable for theft and damages caused by guests or third parties.


Lost property will only be forwarded at the request of the guest. The charges and the risk will be borne by the guest.


The general terms and conditions are an integral component of our final confirmation. Place of performance and jurisdiction for both parties is Albinen. The GTC govern the legal relationship between the guest/organizer and ALBIJOU GmbH. Deviating agreements or subsidiary agreements must be made in writing.


Our website contains so-called "external links" (links to third party websites) whose contents we do not control and for which, therefore, we do not accept any responsibility. The responsibility for the content and correctness of the information lies with the respective owners of the linked sites. At the time these links were established we could not make out any violation of the law. If we were to be informed of such a violation, the respective link will be removed by us immediately.


3.7.1. Data gathering. We collect data when you register on our website, log into your account, make a booking, participate in a contest and/or log out. The data we collect include your name, your e-mail address, your phone number and/or your credit card. 

3.7.2. How we use your data. All the data that we collect from you can be used to:

·personalize your experiences and fulfill your individual needs

·prepare personalized advertising content 

·improve our website 

·improve our customer service and your support needs. 

·make contact via email

·manage a contest, a promotion or a survey

3.7.3. Data privacy in online commerce: we are the sole owner of the data collected on our website. your personal data will never be sold, exchanged, transferred, or passed to another company, except when necessary to fulfill a request or transaction, e.g., to send out an order or request a Aufenthaltskarte (temporary residence card) with customer benefits.

3.7.4. Sharing data with third parties: we do not sell trade or transfer your personal data to third parties. This does not apply to trusted third parties who assist us in administering our website or conducting our business, provided they commit to keep the information confidential. We believe that it is necessary to exchange information in order to investigate, prevent or take action against illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations in which an individual's physical safety may be at risk, violations of our Terms of Service or, where required by law, in accordance with the legal obligations of the local, cantonal or national authorities. Non-private data on the other hand may be made available to third parties for marketing, advertising or other purposes.

3.7.5. Data protection. We implement a variety of security measures to protect your personal data. We use state-of-the-art encryption technology to protect confidential information transferred online. We also protect your data offline.  Only employees who need to perform certain tasks (e.g. billing or customer service) have access to personal data. The computers and servers used to store personal data are stored in a secure environment.
Do we use cookies? Yes. Our cookies improve the access to our website and identify regular users. Our cookies also enhance the user experience by tracking and targeting their interests. However, this use of cookies is in no way associated with personally identifiable data on our website.

3.7.6. Unsubscribe. We use the email address you provide us to send you information and updates relating to your order, occasional company news, information about related products etc. If you wish to unsubscribe and no longer receive emails you will find detailed instructions on how to unsubscribe at the end of each mail..
